An engineer that has the opportunity to excel in the future, unfortunately all of a sudden he was struck by myocardial infection. While he was working in France he felt that his chest was in extreme pain. All this happened two years ago. He has devoted every aspect of his life and all of his savings in order for him to pay for his life saving surgery. As time passed he also lost his job.

While he was feeling completely hopeless another disastrous event struck him again where his hometown was hit by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake. He was aware that several villages have been destroyed severely by the quake. Therefore he decided to take a journey back to his hometown with the intention to rebuild their homes.

Even though the charitable organizations have stopped their assistance, he still chose to lend his helping hand to the victims without charging them a single cent.
Age 42, George Charles was originally working in France with a monthly income of 2,000 euro. In year 2014, he withdrew all of his savings of 28,000 euro to pay for his life saving surgery. Unfortunately as the time passed he was financially incapable and no doctors were willing to carry out another surgery for him.

After returning to his hometown, he had been engaged in the repair work caused by the earthquake. Occasionally he will feel a sudden pain and tightness in his chest. While he was struggling in frustration, he decided to seek for assistance from Nanyang Press Fund.

After the comprehensive examination, the doctor urged that he is required to undergo the second surgery as soon as possible otherwise it could cause him serious consequences. The vascular surgery date proposed by the doctor is between 3 to 10 August.

After further assessment by the doctor, the surgery would cost RM14,000 and for the post-surgery it requires a total of 6 months nursing period which includes rehabilitation that costs RM6,000. In order to complete his entire course of treatment, he needs to have a total of RM20,000. The doctor said that he needs a lifelong medicinal treatment and also periodical checkup even if the surgery has been carried out.

原本拥有大好前途的游艇工程师，两年前在法国工作时因一次在工作时胸痛而检验出患上心肌梗塞后，花尽毕生储蓄以动手术保命，较后也因此失去工作长达至今！

就在他对前途感到彷徨无助时，他的家乡沙巴兰瑙却发生5.9级大地震，他了解到多个村庄因此受到破坏，于是他决定回国，并全心为灾黎们重建家园，直至如今各慈善组织，甚至是有关当局已停止地震后的修复协助，但他仍选择不收分文的为灾黎付出。

现年42岁的George Charles(沙巴杜順人)，原本是在法国工作，每月收入约2000欧元，但却在2014年病发后的手术，把自己毕生的储蓄约2万8000欧元都用在医药上。较后也因为经济不允许，再也没有去进行医生所建议的第二次手术，一直至今。

回国后一直投身在沙巴地震后修复工程的他，偶尔都会感觉到胸痛和胸闷的感觉，在逼于无奈下，唯有向南洋报业基金求助，同时也回到医院进行检查。

在一次的检查后，医生坚决让他尽早进行手术，否则后果不堪设想，因此安排他在8月3日至10日之间，进行通血管手术。

在经过医生的评估后，George 的手术费大约RM14，000，而事后半年的复诊则需约RM6000，总共他需筹获RM20,000，才能完成整个疗程。无论如何，医生也曾告知，这手术后的后，他得终生服用药物和到医院复诊。
