歐月明2012年4月28日獲得新生活報的報導，隨後即接獲南洋報業基金給予的援助。截止1/4/2014歐月明在南洋報業基金的善款僅 存RM1,600，而歐月明每月都得為癱兒永成的膳食費用煩惱，永成每月單花費在奶粉、尿片及藥物上就要RM400。
