Solar Lights Sponsorship 赞助日光灯

During the trip to affected villages in Ranau, the Yayasan Nanyang Press team was advised that some of the villages have no electricity, especially the rural areas of Ranau. The children there have to depend on candle lights to study during night time. Fires sometimes happened when the children use candle lights while studying. Up to date, Yayasan Nanyang Press has identified 20 families in Kg. Luba Luba and 169 families in Kg. Mesilau that need solar light. Yayasan Nanyang Press will be sponsoring 50 units of solar light (RM350 per unit) worth a total amount of RM17,500 to these people. We believe that more families need the solar light for a better living environment so that the children can focus on their studies without any worries. Hence, we urgently need your generous donation for these people.

南洋报业基金团队在探访灾区时，当地灾民多次向团队成员反映指说，当地一些地区长期面对着没有电源的困境，孩子们更是每晚依靠蜡烛发出的微光念书，这不仅会影响孩子们的学习，对他们的健康也非常的不利。

经考察，当地Kg. Luba Luba 以及 Kg. Mesilau 共189户家庭急需日光灯以进行日常活动。经过考量，南洋报业基金将捐助50个共值1万7500令吉的日光灯。相信，这些日光灯能让当地居民的日常生活变得更简易，孩子们也能无忧无虑地学习。

因此，南洋报业基金急需民众们踊跃捐款，助灾民们脱离困境，打造更美好的未来。
